Ind vs Pak is much more than just sports

Indian cricket team one of the most successful captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, recently attended a cricket match organised by army in Baramulla’s Kunzar and interacted with players and local people. Sharing about MS Dhoni’s visit, the official Twitter Account of Chinar Corps of the Indian Army tweeted saying that Lt Col (Hony) Mahendra Singh Dhoni interacted with budding cricketers of Uri town; a life time opportunity for them to receive tips from the cricketing great. India’s cricket star MS Dhoni while interacting with young cricketers advised them about focusing on their fitness. “Fitness first … followed by skill says MS Dhoni to budding cricketers of Uri. Also gives valuable tips to youngsters,” official Twitter Account of Chinar Corps informed on the micro-blogging site.

Speaking on whether India should play Pakistan, former Indian team captain MS Dhoni said, “An India vs Pakistan series is not just sports, its much more than that so the Government is the best judge and its upto them to take a call if we should play.” Matches between India and Pakistan has always been fans favourite but due to tensions between both the nations, there has not been any bilateral series between India and Pakistan for a long time. In November 2011, the Indian Territorial Army conferred the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel to MS Dhoni. He is the second Indian cricketer after Kapil Dev to have received this honour.
