THE Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) will be conducting a Youth Spin Bowling and Wicket-keeping Clinic for Under-17 players tomorrow from 09:00hrs to 13:00hrs at the St Stanislaus College tarmac on Brickdam.
An invitation from chairman of the GCA Cricket Development, Mark Harper, has been extended to all GCA clubs to send three spin bowlers and a wicketkeeper to this clinic.
The programme aims to help develop the ability of spinners and wicket-keeping and will include basic grips, actions, spinning the ball, flight, tactics and accuracy, glove and foot work, standing up and back and stumping.
The following coaches will be working with the youths – Roger Harper, Clyde Butts, Garvin Nedd and Mark Harper himself.
The players are required to wear whites or track pants with white tops, socks, sneakers and their personal water bottle.
Wicketkeepers are required to bring the abdomen guard and wicketkeeping gear including helmets.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
