west indies cricket desperately needs the west indian nation behind it..a west indian nation that remains in spirit that the west indian people refuse to actualize in democratic form, that takes the negative and stinking nous' of our exploitation, resolves it into its positive side, as expressed in centuries of west indian rebellion..rebellion that was sabotaged by the granting of independence which raised up a subservient class west indian elite traitors, who serves Ole' Marse even as ole Marse has retreated, leaving ever evolving means of financial control in place to effect the control he once effected directly and symbolically, with whip in hand, and on horseback.
this team does not know its history literally and spiritually. they need to know but the cWI does not think so. the cWI would see such informing of the team as subversive, dangerous to its interest and administrative control. the cWI would not be keen on the development of that sentiment around 'it's' team..a sentiment that should have been there all along, that they should have sought to encourage to ever further development and clarity in the spirit of west indies cricket..a spirit that infuse from the first levels, routinely and generally social, in the schools and playgrounds, up and into the representative teams
a west indies team must be a WEST INDIAN TEAM PERIOD, WHEREVER IT IS, WHEREVER IT GOES.. AS IT WALKS ONTO THE FIELDS OF THE WORLD, THOSE WHO KNOW..AND EVERYBODY KNOW OF USE.. WILL SEE THE ROLL IN THE TEAM'S MOVEMENT THAT HARKEN ALL THE WAY BACK TO CONSTANTINE AND HEADLEY, TO THE W'S, HALL AND GRIFF, KANHAI, GIBBS AND SOBERS,LLOYD AND THE 4-PRONG, RICHARDS AND LARA
the only personality around the team currently who even minutely indicates any possession of the real west indian spirt is Jimmy Adams. not even Garner does, despite being an achieved and great legend. as a personality Joel Garner as English would be a member of the British conservative party, already in all likelihood Lord Garner of Bridgetown.
this is not to disparage Joel Garner. he was an unprecedented bowler ff true west indian spirit. but as a personality he is more in tune with the spirit and movement of the bureaucracy rather than west indian independence, west indian evolution in the world as an independent space in its own image and likeness.
this west indian team is not all that it can be. clearly as it has demonstrated, it is better than its performance in this test, though hardly as talented as teams in the past. there is nothing at the top of the team, its administration that can consistently get out of this team its best. only Jimmy Adams may be able to I am arguing. Stuart Law is a stranger and should not be in charge of any west indian team.
when the fact that the west indies did not send england in to bat in this test comes to mind it is always associated with the leadership of Law. since he has been in charge things appear to be wrong sided: west indies have sent in the opposition when we should not have and vice versa. this reminds of another australian in charge of the west indies John Dyson.
the west indies is a unique location and historical experience relative to the world. west indies cricket therefore requires people in tune with it's experience to lead it, to continue the development and imparting of west indian spiritual needs, to inspire the confidence in team and people, that what is happening with the team, around it, is always in our collective interest.
that there is a space of power and authority we have control over and we must never make ourselves insecure in that space by injecting suspect forriners into it..by giving it to forrin individuals who by the very nature, existence and origin are suspect, who are usually and in almost every instance naturally opposed to west indian interests.
it is a most unsophisticated, silly, stupid administrative policy for west indian authority to continue to, to insist on hiring such forriners to lead west indies cricket. it is either west indian authority is unsophisticated and stupid..or they are so like a fox..that it is in fact their purpose to have such people wreak havoc on west indies cricket, all the better to facilitate their own exploitation of our game
