also...we KNOW the Hopes and K Powell are not good enough..far from it.
Roston whats his name has 2 test tons to his credit and offers some hope. but has faltered when he was expected to do well recently, causing one to hold ones optimism relative to him in check.
Blackwood can bat a bit..he has the requisite talent although his mental means are in serious question.
and Paint has gone south. will he return ::confused::
the impression I have is that he is done, washed up already. the opposition know him now, plan for him, get him out all the time. he has not responded like a class batsman would..understanding the games to get him out and countering them.
as a result I have little hope for him, that we will see a rebound from him
relative to Powell I would have pik Lewis instead. Lewis would succeed in hitting at least twice in 6 innings for meaningful runs..fifties... and maybe even a ton. we cn expect nothing of the sort from either Paint or Powell at this stage
Chanderpaul would have been a help

[color=rgb(37, 37, 37)]West Indies still trail by a mammoth 470 runs, but Kyle Hope and Kieran Powell acquitted themselves well last night. It'll be James Anderson to bowl the first over of this morning.

Roland-Jones to Blackwood, FOUR, blam! Blackwood spanks a straight drive back down the ground from TRJ's first ball...! No respect for the loosener, it was overpitched and there to be hit, so Blackwood did

It's interesting that Holder is batting at 8 and he has the 4th best average in the team, and it's not too far behind Blackwood and Braithwaite
