Trinidad has to be immensely proud of their Prince and they should be. His mindset, I find more impressive than his batting. He was very, very special.

This was exciting to watch in live time. I live in India and was pretty young when this happened but I remember my family gathering around our tiny black and white TV. We all started watching the legend bat when he was around 280 because our neighbor told us that Brian Lara was close to 300 runs.
I remember Hayden holding the record of 375 runs but I wasn't expecting Brian Lara to cross it. It was truly phenomenal when he crossed that record and I remember being so excited about it--a new record was set in front of my eyes. Hats off to the legend--the only person to hit 400 runs so far.

400 Runs with single player is kind of dream only. Sometimes even whole teams getting out in lesser than that.
And also these days we are seeing rarely players crossing even 300 runs. He is amazing for sure. I am missing him and his style.
