After giving Australia a solid opening partnership, both David Warner and
Matt Renshaw
walked off almost together. Warner was bowled by Umesh Yadav in his first over, but Renshaw walked off before another ball was bowled. Australia team management confirmed he had to "retire hurt" with an "upset stomach".
As soon as Warner played on to end the opening stand at 82 in the 28th over, Renshaw went straight to the umpires for a conversation. Captain Steven Smith walked out to bat at No. 3 only to see Renshaw charging towards him. The two had a chat, and it seemed Renshaw wanted to walk off immediately.
A bit of confusion and hand signals followed with Renshaw walking back towards the square and then lodging himself at the edge of the boundary. He was then asked to wait, presumably because the next man Shaun Marsh was not ready. There was apparent confusion as to whether Renshaw would be asked to play out the over and then go off.

Wow. Thousands of people have made the trek to Gahunje today to watch Kohli bat. Gone second ball. Soft dismissal too. Silence

Encouraging partnership building up between Rahul and Rahane, but first session clearly Australia's, with Starc and Hazlewood quite superb
