The West Indies all-rounder Darren Sammy has been named the captain of the Peshawar Zalmi, instead of Shahid Afiridi.

Sammy the former T20 Captain of the West Indies team led his team to victory in the 2012 and 2016 T20 World Cups was handed over the captaincy from Shahid Afridi, who was the captain of the team last year
