The India captain, Man of the Series in the recent 4-0 series win against England on home soil, wants to gain further experience in English conditions. He had a disappointing tour of England in 2014, where he struggled against England’s seam attack.“If I have a chance I would love to do that,” Kohli said. “I would love to be there a month or month and a half beforehand getting used to playing in the conditions, understand what the wickets play like in that phase of the year.”India’s premier batsman would be following in some illustrious footsteps if he were to sign for a county club. Sachin Tendulkar famously wore the White Rose of Yorkshire as their first ever overseas player in 1992 after they abolished the rule of only those born within the county boundary being eligible to play for the club.

He will adjust fast. Kohli is one of the most serious cricketers to ever play the game. And with the amount of ODI's India players, he will most likely beat Tendulkar's records of a hundred international tons.
