Jimmy Adams can do a job for the west indies..he jess cyar do it in the current way the west indies is run..the way west indian society functions..absolutely authoritarian and extreme capitalism.
for get about it. west indian society will get worse than it is if that can be imagined. but it is carded to be sent straight to hell and it is well on its way..arriving soon.
I want to see Jimmy do something positive in that environment.
as I said: if he tries he will get authority pissed and he will be fired. and Jimmy must know this..so if he intends to do the positive why would he take the job when he knows he will incur the displeasure of authority?
did he take it then because he has sold out, intends to toe the authoritarian line ::confused::
dat is what I have been discussing. Jimmy can do nothing positive up in there. as in the general society the powers that be will not tolerate anything progressive
the only way forward for Jimmy as a progressive was organizing reform outside the wicb not inside it. inside it is impossible. doing it from the inside is like dancing with the devil to outsmart the devil. dat doh wuk however..never worked
but if YOU have to dance with the devil it means there is an imbalanced relationship in favor of the devil. so you are not dancing with the devil in your place...you have to go to the devils dance hall where the bouncers at the door work for him, to pass you through the lines to get in.
the devil owns the dance he controls the spotlight on the floor. the devil owns the band and calls the tune..actually wrote the tunes.. and chooses the dance style. I understand the devil likes the Fox Trot and an occasional slow rhumba or bolero ::LOL:: ::LOL:: ::LOL:: ::LOL::
so you have no chance at all dancing with the devil. you can fight the devil marshalling your strength but from the outside.
what are your strengths... the people and their interest, the collective mass in revolutionary action. that power, organized and collective is supreme, greater than the devils power.
the devil is the devil because he is opposed to the people, exploits them, kills them, makes them work and takes all the money and the wealth they create, make them live in slum and hovel, feed off garbage dumps, divides them by class and racism, drive them crazy with fear and psy ops to make them believe what is clearly opposed to their best individual and collective interest
but there lies the only power that can defeat the devil..the collective power of those people, the majority, the downtrodden masses of 'deplorables'..the ordinary masses of the people alive on any given day. the key is to get them all not only on the same page but the right page. do that and the game is over for the devil. he have to split... or light fiyah to bun the world dong.
either way his game is ovah

I've always liked Jimmy Adams. It will be interesting to see what he can do. Pybus handled most things awfully, but he did make the first big steps in upgrading the regional tournaments and managed to improve pay for domestic cricketers.

That's something all coaches need, time and luck. As for patience, I like to call it good human relations, because surely a coach is a leader and he needs to be at his best not only technically, but also in terms of motivating his players in order to build a real team.
No time, no team though.

a head coach in cricket is redundant and unnecessary..and way too expensive. the post must be eliminated..the status of the captain as the dominant administrative figure returned.
if it aint broke doh fix it >

That does make sense and I agree with what you say, if ain't broken don't fix it, but eventually he can contribute with something positive?
Many times people making this sort of decisions have a lot of interest involved other than sporting goals.
