Think Pietersen could have been great, Chef has developed into an effective captain, Brearley did a great job but Strauss saw a genuine turnaround in English cricket and although he allowed Windies to win the away series due to over cautious tactics, Strauss for me.

you jess lookin' fuh talk!  Pietersen wud have been the worse england captain ever.  I liked the man as a player but as captain.  never!

Ray Illingworth was a good english skipper...Tony Grieg..Michael Vaughn.  Atherton.
