The Trinidad and Tobago Red Force players will be looking to get a feel of the pink ball when they play a three-day trial match at UTT O’Meara starting today.
Although they will be playing with the pink ball, the match will not be a day/night affair.
Red Force coach Gus Logie said the pink ball will be used in order to give the players an opportunity to see it in action and get a feel of it ahead of their first match of the Professional Cricket League four-day competition which will be a day/night game against the Windward Islands Volcanoes bowling off on November 11 at Queen’s Park Oval, Port of Spain.
Logie also noted that the Red Force will still conclude their pre-season with a day/night match but opted to push that back to early next month to ensure their returning players from the West Indies A team will get a game in before the season opener.
“Some of our players are overseas and we want them to play a game before we select so on the 4th and 5th we will play a day/night game. For now we will play a three-day using the pink ball,†Logie explained.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
