Austin Waugh is making headlines in Australia, very much like his illustrious dad Steve Waugh did in the Eighties and Nineties.
Steve Waugh's teenaged son smashed a match-winning century for New South Wales Metro in the final of the Under 17 National Championships in Brisbane.
Waugh's unbeaten 122 came off just 136 deliveries, and included four 4s and four 6s, after NSW Metro had slipped to 57 for four against Queensland.
The teenager propelled his side to a total of 274 for six wickets from 50 overs at Allan Border Field in Brisbane.
NSW Metro dismissed Queensland for 122 in reply to secure a 152-run win.
The knock took Waugh's tournament tally to 372 runs from eight innings, at an average of 74.4.
