hockey, tennis, golf, skating, gymnastics, even bull riders MAKE MORE!!!  'Cause all these sports have learned
how to tap into the sport gold mine of...'MERICA!   Cricket?  Poo' lil' orphans hopelessly chasin after

Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

According to Sporteology Dhoni highest paid cricketer with $28M  (salary only $3.5M).
He's the ONLY cricketer in the 100 highest paid athletes in the world.  10 MLB players
make more than $23M IN SALARY ALONE!!

You stand corrected.    ::yawn:: ::yawn::

Cricketers might not be on the same age levels as NFL stars or baseball players, but not many sportsmen are to be honest. In my opinion, speaking from a UK perspective the cricketers get paid more than enough for what they do, and while I know it will depend on where in the world that cricketer plays, over here in England they are rewarded substantially for what they do.

Along with the actual wages and central contracts they have, add that to the sponsorship deals they can negotiate, your not going to be seeing many cricketers destitute in the near future, that's for certain anyway.

Bull riders and gymnasts annual salary is $30,000. Far less than the average cricketer.
Yes, this is absolutely true for international cricketers, however, county cricketers earn substantially less. Those playing in Division Two have an average annual salary of £37,000. Players aged between 16 and 24 earn substantially less again, earning between £16,870 and £23,899.

25 pro bull rides make over a mil a year.  US Olympic gymnasts have made over 9 mil.
Non-national team cricketers probably worst off, making a pittance.  The average bench sitting MLB,NFL,
NBA, NHL player makes many times more than the bench sitting country or state player.  How long do we wait for cricket world to move out of the world sports slums and tap into 'Merican gold mine.    :( :(

Your overall point is correct, but your statement that bull riders earn more than cricketers is not true. The average annual salary of a bull rider is $30,000.

According to the PBR, 28 riders have made $1 million plus over the course of their entire career, not annually. JB Mauney is the all-time leading money winner, earning $6.89 million over the course of his career. Virat Kohli made $6.9 million alone in his salary this year. Every English cricketer that has a central contract earned more than $1 million this year.

www.pbr.com/en/riders/all-time-money-earners.aspx

The average international cricketer makes far more than a bull rider. And gymnasts also. They have an average annual salary of $30,000 with an expected lifetime earnings of $1.25 million.

Don't know where they got this $4.3M average salary for IPL.  According to
Cricmetric Kohli was the highest paid IPL player at only $2.5 and only about a
dozen players made more than $1M.  Aside from IPL no other cricket leagues
even on the chart, which means County Cricket, State Cricket teams, etc. very low rent.    :'( :'(

Salaries in county cricket range quite a lot: from £25,000 ($31,530) to £100,000 ($126,130), with the average being around £50,000 ($63,070) per year. The ECB implemented a minimum salary recommendation for all teams in the County Championship. It recommends around £16,000 ($20,180) for 18 year olds, with this figure steadily increasing to just under £24,000 ($30,270) for 24 year-old players.

County cricketers playing in Division Two have an average annual salary of £37,000 ($46,670).

Even county cricketers playing in Division Two earn more than bull riders and gymnasts. They also earn more than minor league ball players.

State cricketers in Australia earn between a minimum of AU$50,000 and a maximum of AU$150,000. Australian central contract retainer fees start at AU$900k with each player earning AU$14,000k per Test, AU$7,000 per ODI and AU$5,000 per T20.
