ECB director Andrew Strauss says he is disappointed with Eoin Morgan's and Alex Hales' decisions to withdraw from the tour to Bangladesh, but insists neither he nor the team are bearing any grudges.
Limited-overs captain Morgan and batsman Hales decided against touring amid security fears following the terrorist attack in Dhaka in July.
Strauss and England's team arrived in Dhaka on Friday night amid a heavy security presence and said: "I was disappointed mainly because I just felt that if we got the whole team together then that's a stronger statement.

Huge news that Durham have been relegated, plus 48-point CC point deduction following financial bailout. Hampshire will stay up.

For obvious reasons I am glad that Hampshire will remain in Division One next year, especially given all the decimating injuries they suffered this year.
That said, I am not a fan of the points deduction. Durham were given first class status providing they got their ground up to international standards. In order to do this, they had to spend millions of pounds, and in return they have received very little in the way of international cricket. And now with their Test status revoked, they won't be receiving any in the future either. Just a mess all the way around.

Well they were not guaranteed International income and their financial plans should have been more robust but nonetheless it is sad to see them relegated because they required financial assistance.
I feel their on field performances should dictate where they play rather than the financial mess they have got themselves into and I am sure they will have to repay the ECB who have shot themselves in the foot and in the process disadvantages Durham cricket by taking such as harsh stance.
Sad for Durham and I believe that rule should be reviewed.
