Eoin Morgan
, England's limited-overs captain, will not travel to Bangladesh
to lead the team in their one-day series due to concerns about security,
the ECB has confirmed. Opening batsman
Alex Hales
has also ruled himself out of the tour for the same reasons.
Jos Buttler
, the team's vice-captain, will take charge.

I certainly respect their decision. Fortunately, England have great strength in depth in their limited overs sides, especially with the likes of Bairstow and Duckett the most likely candidates to replace them in the starting XI.
As for the Test side, it will be interesting to see who replaces Hales at the top. As I have mentioned previously, I woudn't have had him in my Test side for the tour as is, and there were rumours circulating over the last few days that he wasn't going to make the Test squad anyway. I'd quite like to see Haseeb Hameed get a chance, but other options include Keaton Jennings, Sam Robson or Nick Gubbins.

Did Morgan and Hales make the right decision by pulling out of the Bangladesh tour?

For me personally, if a player doesn't feel safe, he has every right to opt out. Playing for your country is a priviledge not a national service. I certainly respect that decision.
However, I fully recognise that should their replacements come in and perform well, they are at risk of being replaced in the side.

I believe everyone has a right to make their own decisions but in this context I do not respect this decision as it serves to undermine the team, especially when the captain opts out.
I am not sure what security risks the in Bangladesh.
I admired KP's decision to return to India a few years ago as to give in gives victory to ant terror initiative.
Mr disappointed with Halo though as Eoin may not be around for the next World Cup.

Ben Duckett, who has enjoyed an outstanding season with Northants,
looks set to come into the limited-overs squad, while Hameed has emerged as
the likely replacement for Hales as Alastair Cook's opening partner in the Test squad.
