Vince's omission means he can return to four-day cricket with Hampshire
in a bid to regain form and push for a touring spot to Bangladesh and India.
He finished the Test series against Pakistan with 1 and 0 at The Oval and in seven Tests
this season did not manage to pass fifty, while the familiarity of his dismissals
- edging behind to the keeper or slips - became a concern.

The selectors have resisted resting any players after the Test series
meaning that Chris Woakes, who was Man of the Series, and Joe Root are both in.
That also means there are no places for the batsmen who impressed recently
for England Lions in the triangular series against Pakistan A and Sri Lanka A :-[

Ben Duckett, the Northamptonshire left-hander, had been tipped for a maiden call-up !
Sam Billings, the Kent wicketkeeper-batsman who has already featured for the full side,
Dawid Malan, who captained the Lions, was another to impress .

While there is no doubt that Duckett, Billings and Malan have a bright future ahead of them, this England team, as currently constructed, is playing some very good limited overs cricket, something that hasn't happened in a long time.
To have played Billings either Bairstow or Buttler would need to be dropped. To have included Duckett, either Hales or Roy would need to sit, and to fit Malan into the side either Morgan or Root would have been forced to miss out.
No easy decisions there. My team for the ODIs would be:
Hales
Roy
Root
Morgan (c)
Buttler (wk)
Stokes
Moeen Ali
Woakes
Rashid
Willey
Wood

Malan may just be a better skipper and player than Morgan.
that Irishman have all the luck : with few and far between contributions.

In Morgan's defence, his average (36.31) and strike-rate (87.63) over the last 12 month are almost identical to his career average (36.67) and strike-rate (87.16). His numbers batting 4th have also been much more impressive over the last year, averaging 41.23. As a collective unit, No 4s have averaged 39.82 over this same period. So he has been above average when batting at No 4.
Morgan should also be given credit for the way this current England team is playing. There has been a complete change in the mindset of the squad. They are far more aggressive and fearless with both bat and bowl.
For this reason alone, I wouldn't advocate replacing him in the side.

Well, we replace Sammy on those very Intangibles.
Leader, mind set of players et cetera
which was all in our collective minds and not really true !
A Skipper should have superior stats : compared with odda #4s!
