Brandon Bess made his debut for Guyana in the 2006 TCL Group West Indies Under-19 Challenge Cup, played in Guyana.
Though quite quick he has been erratic and expensive. In 2010 he spent several months athe the Sagicor High Performance Center in Barbados, during which he earned a surprise Test call up to replace Nellon Pascal, a young Windwards fast bowler, who injured himself while warming up before the Test match against South Africa in Barbados. Bess took a wicket but showed that he still needed much work before he could be considered ready for Test or regional cricket.
In 2010 Brandon Bess represented the Clarke Rochard first division cricket team in the South Zone Cricket League in Trinidad.
