Unbeaten T&T, Guyana U17s clash tomorrow

Rain played havoc with the third round of the West Indies Cricket Board Under-17 Tournament yesterday, as no play was possible due to waterlogged outfields at the three designated venues in central Trinidad.
Joint leaders T&T were scheduled to play the Leeward Islands at Inshan Ali Park in Preysal, co-frontrunners Guyana were up against Jamaica at the National Cricket Centre at Balmain in Couva, and defending champions Windward Islands and Barbados were carded to meet at Gilbert Park in California.
Because of the abandoned fixtures the six teams in the competition were awarded one point each and will resume their rivalry for regional honours on Saturday, after a rest day on Friday.
For the final two rounds, there will be matches at the Queen’s Park Oval, Port-of-Spain, with the Windward Islands playing Jamaica on Saturday, and hosts T&T opposing Barbados on Sunday.
Both T&T and Guyana are unbeaten after two rounds of competition so far and the fight for regional spoils is expected to be keenly contested when the two teams clash on Saturday at the National Cricket Centre in Balmain, weather permitting.
