Rain washes out S/Africa, Australia match

The Ballr Tri-Nation Series match between world champions Australia and South Africa was washed out yesterday after just one over at Kensington Oval, Barbados.
South Africa, inserted to bat, were eight without loss when persistent showers interrupted the game.
The rain continued throughout the day and after a second inspection at 5.45 pm, it was decided to call off the match.
Match officials had earlier carried out an inspection at 5:15 pm after the rain finally subsided and the covers had been removed.
With the no result, South Africa and Australia shared the points.
South Africa lead the three team standings with 12 points while Australia lie second on 11 points and West Indies, third on eight.
