Spectacular and popular global champions one day; struggling underdogs the next. That’s what it is going to feel like for the West Indies in the tri-nation One-Day International series. Unless, of course, they can rise above the lowly expectations, shove aside the inevitable distractions of glaring selectorial inconsistency and whatever other type of Caribbean cricket drama that may be unfolding off the field to give South Africa and World Cup holders Australia a real run for their money over the three weeks of competition in Guyana, St Kitts and Barbados.
