West Indies batting legend Brian Lara wants to see Dwayne Bravo and Kieron Pollard selected for the Windies' ODI triangular series against South Africa and Australia in June.
Bravo and Pollard, who are both part of the West Indies' T20 squad, have not played ODI cricket for two years with the selectors having overlooked the duo since the abandoned tour to India in 2014.
The 32-year-old Bravo has played in 164 ODIs, taking 199 wickets and scoring 2968 runs, while the 28-year-old Pollard has hit 2042 runs in 91 ODIs and taken 44 wickets.
The pair are not eligible to be selected for the tri-series as they have not played in a domestic 50-over tournament but Lara thinks the two players could be integral to the Windies' chances.
Lara said: "In terms of the tri-nations, I think it's going to be a pretty exciting series.
"And hopefully, we can have the likes of Pollard and Bravo - some guys who have not played that form of the game (recently) back in the team, because they are integral to any West Indies team.
"Just having them for the T20 version I think is doing a disservice to West Indies cricket."
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
