Interesting, and a bit of a surprise to me. This will be invaluable experience for Jordan, who is still learning the game. I am still not sold on him, but he was very, very good for England at the death in the last four World Cup matches. When on, he can be unplayable at the death. However, he really needs to work on being able to bowl during the power play. A point not lost on Mikey Holding, who at one stage pondered whether you could play Jordan and bowl him exclusively at the death, much like Dwayne Bravo in the 2015 IPL.
He is, however, in my opinion, England's best fielder and arguably a top 3 fielder in world cricket today.

RCB need him more than he needs them. RCB needs bowlers badly. THey cannot bat their way to the trophy!

Unfortunately, it has been a real baptism of fire in the IPL for CJ so far, getting roughed up in all three appearances while taking just the one wicket. His average stands at 132 and is going for 12 runs an over. The potential is there, its a case of getting that consistency. Playing against the very best T20 players in the world can only be good for his overall development. Hopefully, Kohli sticks with him the rest of the way.

Fantastic stuff from CJ today in the match against the Gujarat Lions as he finished with figures of 4-11 from 3 overs of work. With plenty of runs on the board to defend, he tore through the Lions line-up. The only downside is that he appeared to injury his finger or thumb bowling the cutter that picked up his last wicket of Kulkarni. He did bowl one more delivery after that but was then replaced in the attack. Hopefully it is nothing too serious and he can build on this momentum. Good to see.

I think he is on the outside looking in right now. Stokes, Woakes, Wood, Plunkett are ahead of him on the depth chart, while Jake Ball has also forced his way into the conversation after his fast start to the season. That's not to say he doesn't have a future in the Test side. The raw talent is there. It's about gaining consistency.
