This series was pivotal in the revival and domination of the West Indies.
They had won the world cup, incidentally against Australia, and that team under Lloyd was a very good team.
After squaring the series in Perth, of all places, I genuinely thought this was going to be some series but it seemed from Melbourne Australia steam rolled Windies by large margins.
It was really the batting that let the Windies down.

Ah that is what I was thinking of.
Would you agree Len was a little too pedestrian and did not fit into the perceived West Indian mould of a more aggressive player?

How could he be considered pedestrian when that century against Pakistan was crucial to the game. Second, the other opener (Greenidge) was shitting in his pants in the Ozzie leg of that tour. WI could not find anyone to partner with Freddo. They tried Kallicharran, RIchards, etc.
I could see a case if the others were smashing the runs all corners...but was that the case? no!

To be honest everyone in this forum, not sure about you though.. no offence intended, seems really funny as they combine that typical West Indian banter and always keep it in good taste as they do neither drone on and on nor get too personal.
I like that about West Indian people. Brits are, or can be, very self deprecating whilst West Indians do that for you so you have to be a bit thick skinned if you are not used to that sort of banter.
Perhaps your best thus far....
