He still took Gibbs so he could break the record.
But same Lloyd kicked Shiv out before Shiv could break Lara's record...

Prior to the first Test, Baichan played in 3 of the 5 warm up matches, including the final match against Queensland. In those three matches, he averaged 43.75 with one fifty and a high score of 62.
After the first Test, he played against Western Australia, scoring 10 and 14. He fared better against South Australia in a warm up match prior to the third Test, scoring 72 in the first innings before retiring hurt for 4 in the second innings.
Before the fifth Test, he scored 10 against Northern New South Wales and 30 against Tasmania.
