England were denied the title of Twenty20 champions of the world
England were denied the title of Twenty20 champions of the world by four late hammer blows into the Kolkata night sky as Carlos Brathwaite propelled himself into folklore and Ben Stokes into despair.
West Indies needed an imposing 19 off Stokes’s final over, and England looked set for a victory that would have capped off a remarkable year for Eoin Morgan’s white-ball revolution.
Instead, with Stokes’s old nemesis Marlon Samuels watching gleefully from the non-striker’s end, the giant Brathwaite – 6ft 8in of Barbadian muscle – cleared the ropes four times from the first four balls.

I am gutted but Windies did deserve to win that final.
Very good final.
Quite a few of the Windian guys may not be around for 2018 so it would be interesting to see who comes through.

West Indies deserved to win the game in my eyes so I can't complain either really. Innny opinion the England team rely to much in their batsman and work needs to be done on the bowlers starting now.
That isn't an attack on Stokes by the way, but I think that last over summed up the bowling attack all the way through the tournament. A bit predictable and we got picked off more than we should have done, but...we live and learn.
