110 not out: Kieron Pollard
Kieron Pollard and Jeremy Solozano both slammed centuries for Queen's Park Cricket Club as they continued their unbeaten run in the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board 50 overs competition with an emphatic 251-run win over Jenexcon Tableland at Queen's Park Oval in Port of Spain on Wednesday.
Pollard, who is recovering from a knee injury that kept him out of the ongoing ICC World Twenty20 in India, scored an Âunbeaten 110, while Solozano, who missed the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force's final match of the Professional Cricket League four-day tournament with a hand injury, hit 148 to lead the Parkites to 378 for six after they won the toss and elected to bat first.
Tableland never got close, crumbling to 127 all out with left-arm spinner Khary Pierre taking four wickets for 41 runs and Akeal Hosein grabbing three for 24.
When the Parkites batted, Pollard smashed ten sixes and seven fours in his 55-ball knock while Solozano hit one six and 21 fours having faced 137 balls.
The pair put on 111 for the sixth wicket, taking the score from 189 for five in 32 overs to 300 in the 46th over before Solozano was bowled by Elijah St Clair.
