A belligerent, unbeaten 50 from West Indies captain Darren Sammy piloted West Indies to an exciting three-wicket win over Australia at Kolkata in the final warm-up match before the T20 World Cup today.
Sammy struck the winning shot off the penultimate ball, taking him to 50. The West Indies had appeared to be out of contention chasing 162 after they had slumped to 27-4 under a withering pace spell by Josh Hazlewood.
Sammy was ably supported by Carlos Brathwaite with 33 and Andre Russell with 29. Ashley Nurse held his wicket at the end for 12 runs while Sammy battered the bowling from the other end.
Watson had top scored for Australia with 60 while Aaron Finch scored 33 and Steve Smith 36. Darren Bravo took four for 21.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

It's great that The West Indies T20 team showed improvement in its most recent warm-up match. However, I still have concerns about the batting, and I am hoping that the struggling batsmen, especially Marlon Samuels, find some reasonable form by the time the team commence its participation in the tournament.

there it is...Sammy's best batting performance for the tournament. Get and a copy to watch cause he is not getting anywhere near that score for the season.
