Ian Botham became the first man to score a century and take 10 wickets in a Test with a performance for the ages against India in Bombay. Beefy took 6 for 58 and 7 for 48, sandwiched in between was a decisive 114 from 144 balls - no other batsman on either team managed even a half century.
What arguably makes this performance even more memorable is Botham's antics after the close of second day:

After Ian Botham, the feat has since been repeated by two more people: Imran Khan against India and Sakib-ul-hasan against Zimbabwe. Imran took 11 wickets and scored 117 runs in the first innings, while Sakib took 10 wickets and scored 137 runs, again in the first innings
