Central Sports, QPCC 2 stay unbeaten

Former Trinidad and Tobago Under-19 cricketer Nicholas Alexis slammed a even 100 for Queen's Park Cricket Club 2 on Sunday as they whipped Moosai Sports by 19 runs to stay unbeaten in the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board's Premier Division Two 50-overs competition at Fatima Ground, Mucurapo.

Alexis helped the Parkites rally from a slow start to post 205 for seven which proved to be just enough to get past Moosai. The East Zone team, however, did put up a fight with Adria n Geeban continuing his good form from the three-day league to top-score with 64 but it was not enough in the end as Moosai were dismissed for 186, falling 19 runs short of their target.

Central Sports also stayed unbeaten after three rounds, defeating Esmeralda by 74 runs on Sunday. In other results from Sunday, Christopher Vincent grabbed eight wickets to lead Caldrac to a 122-run win over Cane Farm while Calcutta Sports defeated Preysal Sports by 108 runs.

The teams will be in action against the same opponents this weekend.
