Bravo said the reason he was opting out was because his long-term goal was to do well in Test cricket. "I'm very grateful and humbled for the opportunity to represent the West Indies at the World Cup," Bravo was quoted in a WICB media release. "However, I'm of the firm belief that I have a very big part to play in the resurgence of West Indies cricket in the longer formats of the game and I will like the opportunity to play in our Professional Cricket League [the regional first-class tournament] because it will put me in good stead and will allow me to achieve those goals that I have aligned myself for the year 2016 and beyond."
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

I am wondering if there is more to this issue than what the reason Bravo for his opting out. Bravo has developed into a very good T20 batsman. In the recent Caribbean Premier T20 Leauge, he was one of the leading batsmen, and he was very much instrumental in the Red Force winning the tournament, and it seems his stocks have been soaring with each series.

All high talk to hide the real reason that he is upset with the board. He says he wants to focus on T20s but I am pretty sure he will gladly play any lucrative T20 league that comes his way.

I'd like to think that Bravo is telling the truth regarding his reason for pulling out of the tournament, but something doesn't really sound right to me.
As we can only go off what he says,,perhaps we should give him the benefit of the doubt for now, but if he gets offered a lucrative T20 league contract that could be detrimental to his test career it will be interesting to see what happens.

If his focus is on the 4-5 day game why did he not play against the Guyanans?
Was he injured or is there either another layer or disingenuous reason?
Does not seem to me a decision that would just come overnight so I have no respect, in the absence of seriously mitigating reasons, for this decision.
