Boy Voges has had a deep purple patch so far. Not only did he break the record for most runs scored without getting dismissed but he also now has an average of 100.33. It might go down if and when he tours the subcontinent but this is phenomenal performance by the guy who got shafted by the immense talent Australia had during the 2000s

Australia eventually all out for 562. Voges just missed out on a 250, dismissed for 239. New Zealand will do well to make Australia bat again. They could really use with some heroics from McCullum.

Fantastic knock by Voges and good bowling by Hazlewood and Lyon. The two of them gave away only 77 runs in 34 overs, and taking three vital wickets.
Was hoping for some heroics from BigMac .... but not to be.
McCullum walks off with a wave of his bat to the Wellington crowd, as a bit of an afterthought because first up he is worried he may be helming a sinking ship for New Zealand here. Australia have won the day by a handsome margin - they are still 201 runs ahead and have snipped out four hard-earned wickets.

This has been an excellent match for Australia. First their bowlers made good use of the conditions to dismiss the Aussies for a low score and now the batsmen have piled up a huge total. Looks like McCullum's farewell series isn't going to be a fairytale.
