INDU19 267/9 (50.0 Ovs)
SLU19 170-all out (42.4 Ovs)
Th Indian Under-19 setup put up a fine all-round show to usurp Sri Lanka and book their place in the final. Do join us for the second semi-final between Bangladesh and West Indies on February 11th. Until then, goodbye and goodnight
Ishan Kishen: I am happy with the win. We lost the toss and the wicket was not easy to bat. Myself and Pant thought we should play out 10 overs. However, we got out in quick succession. Sarfaraz and Anmolpreet Singh then played well. We are doing a lot of practice to improve our fielding, but today, we did not field well. The pitch is not the same for every match. We have to stick to our basics. We will try our best in the final also.
Asalanka: We won the toss and got the right conditions to bowl. Our two fast bowlers bowled well, but the credit has to go to India for coming back. Unfortunately, I am again very disappointed with the way we batted. This World Cup is a very good opportunity for us. We enjoyed the tournament.
Anmolpreet Singh: I am very pleased. It was quite difficult to bat early on, but we played well. It was enjoyable batting with Sarfaraz. Hopefully, we will do our best in the final
Anmolpreet Singh is declared as the Man of the Match for his knock of 72
India posted a facile victory against Sri Lanka in the first semi-final and have qualified for the final. They will wait for the other game between Bangladesh and West Indies to see who they will lock horns against in the final. Anmolpreet Singh, Sarfaraz Khan and Washington Sundar were the star performers for India with the willow in hand. Avesh Khan, Mayank Dagar and Washington bowled incisive spells. Only Mendis and Ashan played steady hands for Sri Lanka and were able to handle India's attack with a degree of confidence.

This is wonderful news, almost a rags to riches story. After starting out very shakily, the youngsters have lifted their game and now West every Indian should be proud of their performance. It's now time for them to march on and win the tournament. It would be wonderful if they go on to win, however if do not win, I would still be well pleased
