Ottley hits century in warm-up match

YANNICK OTT LEY warmed up for the resumption of the Regional Four Day tournament with a century for the Ottley XI against the Jason Mohammed XI on the final day of their threeday practice game at the National Cricket Centre, Balmain, Couva yesterday.
The right-handed batsman struck 112 as the Ottley XI, resuming on their overnight score of 287 runs for eight wickets (in response to the Mohammed XI first innings total of 213), tallied 334. The Mohammed XI reached 149/2 in their second innings when the match was called off.
Ottley’s form augers well for the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force who will leave on Ash Wednesday to take on league leaders and defending champions, Guyana Jaguars on their home soil from February 12-15, at the Providence Stadium.
