My favourite memory is, when he kept on playing for a complete day and a half against India in a test match. I think it happened in Roseau, four years ago. All the bowlers got tired by the evening and then he launched a counter attack on the hapless chaps. Chanderpaul has always been a thorn, especially against India and Australia. A high quality batsman. He deserved a much better farewell than this. My respects to him. I wish him great future ahead. ::love::

I remember this Test match, back in 2002, India v West Indies.
We got Lara out for a duck and Windies were reeling at 50 for 3 in the first session.
I went to sleep and was able to get a glimpse of the game only 24 hours later on day 2
(120-odd overs had been bowled) and saw that Chanderpaul was still batting!
It was a mammoth partnership with Carl Hooper.
I was so disappointed, I couldn't go back to sleep that night and watched WI pile on the misery
till end of day's play! Was a beautiful knock, though.

One of the all time great batsman, not just for the West Indies, but for World Cricket.
