The crowd throughout the day was incredible. Both sets of fans were in full voice. The atmosphere was electric. Those that think that Test match cricket is dull or boring should be forced to watch day 2 on an endless loop. A simply marvelous day of cricket.

Yeah, I think even Stevie Wonder could see this coming. You can't give world class batsman multiple chances and not expect to pay for it.

Amla had all the pressure in the world on his shoulders. He has been under heavy fire for his captaincy and poor run of form. To bat an entire day, with the focus and determination he exuded, showed his true class and fighting spirit. He may not be demonstrative in his actions, but his actions speak louder than words. Top class innings.

Does Amla have any chance at topping Lara's 400*? He is presently 180 not out. The wicket is playing very true and he has hardly been troubled (save for the one chance he offered Anderson at slip). If he bats all day today, he could conceivably get to 300.

We still have a glimmer of hope here but Bavuma and Morris have other ideas.

Looks like a draw now!
