"Report: McCullum to Retire from Blacks Caps" via
TeamStre.am by Bleacher Report
Brendon McCullum will today outline plans for his final hurrah from New Zealand cricket.
The Herald understands the New Zealand captain is expected to confirm what has been speculated for months: that the two Australian tests in February will be his last, and he won't be going to the world T20 in India in March.

Have been a big fan of Kiwi cricket since the late 60s and I think Big Mac took Kiwi Cricket to another exciting level.
He could have hung on for a while, as his record as Captain is quite good, but he clearly knows when it is time to move on and I am sure he will focus on the IPL and other such tournaments.
It is a shame he has chosen to bow out prior to the World T20 Tournament where I belive he could have contributed significantly to the tournament and his team.
Fearless, entertaining, likeable, humble man and I am sure his countrymen and the Cricketing world would be grateful for having had the previlige, I know I am, and wish him the very best for the rest of his life.

Agreed re: the disappointment of McCullum not being at the T20 World Cup. You always want to see the best and most exciting players in a World Cup. McCullum is one of those cricketers that you will stop what you are doing once he comes to the crease.
It was confirmed today that McCullum will play for Middlesex in both the NatWest T20 Blast and Royal London One-Day Cup tournaments.
