Perth Scorchers will most likely beat Hobart Hurricanes and join Adelaide Strikers at top of leader board

Good to see Carberry back playing again and among the runs. He looked high quality. I wish he was still involved in the England setup in some format. He can consider himself real hard done by with the way he was treated.
David Willey provided a nice little cameo at the end with the bat also. I am not sure why, but he always looks so impressive with the bat in domestic limited overs cricket, but has yet to replicate that on the international arena. Soon come, I hope.
Tait was brilliant for the Hurricanes. He bowled with real pace and menace.

Willey impressed with the ball also. He kept his cool bowling his last over, just as the Hurricanes were gaining some momentum and perhaps within striking distance. A shame Voges couldn't hold onto the simplest of catches. The fielding by the Scorchers towards the end left a little to be desired.
What a finish though! Darren Sammy injures his thigh, applauds a vicious yorker from Tye, cranks the next ball for a monster six and then his partner, Wells, is run out attempting to scamper through for a single as the ball skips on by to the keeper. Needing six to win off the final ball, Sammy wallops a four straight down the ground and the Scorchers win by a run. Great stuff. That run out off the penultimate ball proved vital.
Another fantastic effort by the fans, setting a new attendance record for the ground, and they have been richly rewarded with a brilliant finish.

I was so hoping that Sammy would be a hero for the Hurricanes .... I just don't understand why he isn't played up the order especially todays match !!! I mean how many balls did he face?
Might have been different if Prince Kumar hadn't got out so cheaply ....

It does seem very strange that Sammy is batting so low in the order, especially given the lack of quality in the Hurricanes batting lineup. The commentators mentioned that also.
As for today's match, Bravo was the star of the show for the Renegades as he keeps their season alive. He was great with the bat and ball.

Seeing as quite a few people are asking the question why he's batting do low down the order, as anybody from the team or maybe him himself ever come out and give a reason? It just seems a little curious considering that they actually need him, and from that position I wouldn't have thought he'd be able to have that much of an influence.

Down to the wire finish with Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes tonight .....
Lehmann hit the winning 4 runs needed off 1 ball !!!! This was the first ball he's hit in the entire tournament. Did not know that he's Darren Lehmann's son !!!
Oh well Hurricanes out of the tournament .... and Adelaide Strikers booked in for a final !!..... Go the Strikers (and without Pollard) !!!!

After this as ended it would be interesting to hear what people's opinions have been on this big bash, just to see if the people that doubted the format have been impressed enough to change their opinions or not.

Maphony, Ksauros, and other Jurrasics will NEVER warm up to 21st century cricket...scoff at it as glorified tape ball cricket...
just like the dinos who scoffed at that big meteor in the sky ::yawn::
