West Indies Twenty20 International captain Darren Sammy is eagerly looking forward to taking on Sri Lanka in the two-match series which will mark the final leg of their ongoing tour.
Having lost both the Test and the One-Day International series, West Indies will be looking to do better in a format they are the most comfortable playing in.
The previous T20I that West Indies played in Sri Lanka was the final of the T20 World Cup which they won by beating the hosts in 2012.
Admitting that West Indies enjoy playing in the shortest format of the game, Sammy is confident about his team’s chances against Sri Lanka.
“I think we now play in a format which we enjoy, in a place where we played it the best," he said.
“Last time we were here, we had good memories playing T20s.
“We are looking forward to the tournament.
“Like you said, it is a different format and one that we are pretty good at.
“We are looking forward to the contest.â€
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
