Cummins suffered another stress fracture in his lower back during the last ODI against England and will subsequently miss the Bangladesh series. This is now the fourth such injury of this career, having previously suffered stress fractures to his back in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
You never like to see players with his kind of talent repeatedly sidelined due to injuries. He was a complete handful for England in the final Test at the Oval and then throughout the ODI series. You have to wonder whether he will be forced in to modifying his action to take some of the pressure off his back.

It seems as if Cummins has struggled a little too much with injuries. I remember a back injury, then a heel injury and soon after his comeback again he was injured I don’t remember what it was this time. Then in 2012 a stress back injury, next year the same and now this. He’s very talented and I enjoy watching him, but it’s like is he’s cursed. He wants to bowl with such speed that he hurts himself.

Teammate James Pattinson struggled with back injuries early in his career too which threatened to derail his promising start in cricket until he made the contentious decision to remodel his action. So far, the results have been encouraging and his pace has remained the same.
