Surrey remained in total control of their LV= Division Two match at Old Trafford and by the close of third day had set Lancashire 492 to win and thereby achieve the most unlikely of victories. Should Surrey's bowlers dismiss the home side they will clinch the title less than 48 hours before they play Gloucestershire in the final of the Royal London Cup.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.

The Royal London One Day Cup is nearing its conclusion and it is some final. Sangakkara scored 60 for Surrey, who now require 55 runs from 54 balls with 5 wickets remaining.
Jade Dernbach picked up a hat-trick for Surrey earlier in Gloucestershire's innings and finished with 6/35.

It is looking very likely that Sangakkara will be lifting the Royal London Cup. Surrey need just 31 more runs with 34 balls remaining. Sam Curran is looking mighty composed for a 17-year-old.

Maybe not. Two wickets fall in quick succession and Surrey still need 27 more runs from 26 balls with 3 wickets remaining. This is all own young Sam Curran's shoulders.

Burke run-out. 7 needed from the last over, 2 wickets left. I am torn here, given how poor Gloucestershire have been in recent years, I would like them to win but Sam Curran has all the makings of a superstar and hard to root against. He's barely out of nappies.
Edit: And now he's out. 7 more still needed to win, 5 balls left and 1 wicket in hand. Crazy finish.
