Can the West Indies avoid a whitewash in the test is a more appropriate question! Of course the West Indies will not beat this Sri Lanka team at home!

Since 2013, Sri Lanka have played 5 series at home, they have won 2 (against Bangladesh and Pakistan) and lost 3 (against South Africa, Pakistan and India). Of the 12 matches they have played, they have won 5, lost 5, drawn 2.
Over this same period, West Indies have played 3 series away from home, they have lost all 3 series (against India, New Zealand and South Africa). Of the 8 matches they have played, they have won 0, lost 6, drawn 2.

On paper, both teams are evenly matched. This is the weakest Sri Lankan team in two decades. Their top order averages in the 30s, and only Chandimal, Perera and Mathews have batting class. Their big bowling threat is Herath. I've never seen any of these new young SL fast bowlers.
