Shannon Gabriel ended the day wicketless. Durham were bowled out for 277 in their innings. Although Gabriel bowled with pace and rattled Michael Richardson, the Durham batsman got after him, as he yielded 56 runs from his 10 overs. Not quite the debut Worcs fans were hoping for.

Gabriel just picked up his first wicket for Worcestershire in Durham's second innings. Meanwhile, at the Ageas Bowl, Fidel Edwards is bowling with great pace and effort as he to tries to bowl out Yorkshire and keep Hampshire in Division One.

The third days play was just about completely wiped out due to rain. With only one day left to play, Hampshire really need to win the match. A draw doesn't do them much good in trying to avoid relegation. With that in mind, the Hampshire captain, James Vince, forfeited their second innings in an effort to manufacture a win and bowl Yorkshire out by close of play. It was all looking good early with three quick wickets, but since then, Yorkshire, with some luck, have taken control and are about to cruise to a win, all but condemning Hampshire to relegation.
Fidel has bowled his heart out all day. He has ran up with express pace, gave his all and been really unlucky not to have taken more than just the one wicket. In particular, he gave Andrew Gale a torrid time when he came to the crease.
Barring some kind of miracle during the final matches of the season, it looks as though both teams to feature West Indies fast bowlers (Hampshire and Worcestershire) will both be relegated to Division Two.

Okay , got it !
There should be some kinda rule at Yorkshire declaring 97 - 4 ??
Chasing 400 , the minimum to declare should be LESS 200 ..

Full credit to Shannon today, he has completely ripped Middlesex apart, taking 5 for 31 as the visitors were bowled out for a paltry 98. I believe this is the third five wicket haul of his career.
Fidel Edwards also picked up four wickets for Hampshire.
