Mohammad Asif sought inspiration from Nelson Mandela and moved to Norway to rebuild his life following six months in a British prison cell but now the invisible man of the Pakistan spot fixing scandal is back and dreaming of bowling at Lord’s again.
It will horrify those who believe he should never walk on a cricket field again that Asif, whose five-year ban for fixing elapsed this week, has targeted Pakistan’s tour to England next year which will be six years since he bowled a no-ball for cash in the Lord’s Test against England.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
