A win today gives South Africa victory in the three-game series.
In related news, South Africa should be commended for agreeing to stream the second and third ODIs live on the official Cricket South Africa website so that fans in New Zealand can watch the games. For those unaware, Sky Television failed to secure the rights for the series, leaving fans in New Zealand without a way to watch the first ODI; the first time a Black Caps ODI had not been screened live in New Zealand since 2003.

Credit to New Zealand for forcing this to a deciding third game despite missing arguably their three best players in the series (McCullum, Boult and Southee).

Both sides are missing key players, so I guess that levels the playing field somewhat. But New Zealand certainly seem to be a team on the rise while the Proteas' one day form has been a concern for a while.

SA had never lost before in Senwes park.
I was particularly impressed with Latham. We know Baz is winding down his glorious career - will probably play until the T20 WC and bow out.Latham should hold forte and attack as well at the top.
SA lost because of those 3-4 regulation dropped catches.

Unfortunately I missed the match. Was the catching that bad AGAIN? There were several drops in the first match, and we were lucky they didn't cost us that match too.

Pathetic to say the least,i was baffled to if this really was a south African side.
Had they been tough ones,we could have pardoned them off,but all these were regulation catches, more like 3-4 that were real easy picks.
