The recent woes for India continue as Shikhar Dhawan has been ruled out of the remaining two Tests against Sri Lanka after fracturing his right hand which will require four to six weeks to recover.
Dhawan injured the hand during the first Test attempting a catch at slip on the opening day. He deserves full credit for being able to gut it out and bat twice, including scoring a century in the first innings. Hopefully Murali Vijay can recover from his hamstring injury to play in the second Test. If Vijay isn't fit, I would guess that Pujara would be the most likely candidate to open the batting with Rahul.

The entire nation would have been happy should rohit have got injured instead of Dhawan. He is a liability to the team.
Vijay though isn't fir,acc to sources.Looks like,he might even miss the whole series
