The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) is concerned over the actions of one of its directors.
The bone of contention stems from the leaking of a letter from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the US$42 million the body is seeking in compensation for an abandoned series late last year.
It is alleged that one of the directors of the WICB and president of the Jamaica Cricket Association, Wilford 'Billy' Heaven, was the person who leaked that letter to the media.
The release of the information without the consent of the WICB, is a breach of clause six of the WICB's Code of Ethics for the Board of Directors.
Clause six of the WICB Code of Ethics for the Board of Directors speaks to the way information should be treated by its members.
The clause speaks particularly to the dissemination of sensitive information and the only instances where it is permitted.
Heaven, speaking in a telephone interview earlier today, denied any knowledge of the issue.
The WICB, in response, has said its Ethics Committee would be putting together a panel to handle the matter.
Heaven has denied knowledge of the WICB's undertaking as well.
