Georgetown, Guyana - An attacking 95 by opener Shaheed Mohamed propelled host Everest Cricket Club Masters to a 124-run victory over Paradise Sports and Cultural Club of Trinidad and Tobago in a T20 fixture Wednesday.
Mohamed who was named man of the match, slammed nine fours and two sixes off 84 balls as the home team posted a challenging 197-4 off their allotted overs, batting first. He shared in a second wicket stand of 130 with Hemraj Garbarran after the demise of Rakesh Gangaram (05) with the score on 14. Garbarran stroked four fours in scoring 32 while Joseph Perry chipped in with 26 not out (3×4,1×6). Samuel Roberts claimed 2-38.
Paradise responded with 73-8 in 20 overs. Kevon Charles scored 22( 2×4) while Nathaniel Ramcharitar made 16 as Ronald Jaisingh and Gangaram picked up two wickets each.
Meanwhile, Ogle SC will host the visitors in another T20 match tomorrow. The game will be played in memory of former manager of Ogle team Hajji SM Yassin and will commence at 11:00hrs.
