Yeah, all that extra pace of Johnson's sure made a difference at Cardiff, eh? He got smashed all around Wales. 2 wickets for 180 runs.
Career numbers bowling in England:
Anderson: 259 wickets at an average of 27.14.
Johnson: 24 wickets at an average of 35.16.
Starc: 19 wickets at an average of 29.47.

7th time Alastair Cook has been dismissed in 90s, most by an England batsman in Tests. Next is Geoff Boycott (5 nervous 90s)

england mus' bite the bullet and drop Bell skunt.... promote Ali to #5 and Root to #4... and bring in a fresh attacking bowler to support the 3 deh pick
deh rely on Ali too much for bowling. Ali is a better batsman than a bowler and england is wasting his batting at what... #8 ::confused:: ::confused::
that is patent nonsense, absurd..unless a bit of racism is at play in dat'
but what do I care. its an england problem. they are welcome to it!

Agreed. Bell has to go. His average of 32 over the last 12 months is just not good enough to warrant inclusion in the team. Over the last 2 years, there have been 14 batsman that have batted 4th and played at least 5 matches, Bell has the third lowest average (29.00) of these batsman. Only Darren Bravo (23.14) and Thiramanne (10.71) have a lower average.
England desperately need to find an opening partner for Cook and get rid of Bell. Ballance's footwork has really been exposed in recent weeks too. Having three out of your top 5 all struggle for runs is not a recipe for success, no matter how deep you bat.

Without a doubt, attack them, throw their bats at everything that is offered up and pile the lead to 450+ by tom morn 1st session.
Then they will have 5 sessions to have a go at them, minimum.any team will choke under pressure and considering it as 4th innings,England will surely crumble.
