Tenelec Inc pumps US$6000 into Berbice Cricket

Tenelec Inc, based in Washington, USA, has renewed its sponsorship of Under-15 and senior 50 over cricket in Berbice for the 2015 season.
At a simple but significant ceremony held at the Albion Sports Complex, Bobby Deonarine, uncle of West Indies all rounder Narsingh Deonarine, said that he is delighted to be part of the development of young cricketers and cricket in general in Berbice, Guyana and the West Indies.
Speaking on behalf of himself and partner in business, Tom Gruntzel, Deonarine said that they have been involved in Berbice cricket for over 15 years and will continue to do so.

Berbice Cricket Board Executive Anil Beharry thanked Tenelec Inc for coming on board once again. He said that this surely shows the level of confidence the company has in the Cricket Board.
He told the gathering of cricketers to take full advantage of these competitions and advance their careers and thanked them for attending.
Administrative Officer, National Sports Commission, Education Ministry, Department of Culture, Youth and Sports, Gurvy Harry commended the BCB for staying the course, despite all the challenges they faced.
Former national Under-19 Captain and all-rounder Shawn Perriera thanked Tenelec Inc for helping to mould and fashion the lives of so many cricketers in Berbice. He added that the sponsorship brought hope for the young cricketers.
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
