Former fast bowler and current West Indies bowling coach Sir Curtly Ambrose had urged his team to improve their performances in the longer format of the game.
West Indies who are now placed eighth in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test rankings were once the dominant force in Test cricket a couple of decades ago.
During the course of the last twenty years West Indies did not live up to their reputation having quickly lost their place as the world leaders in Tests after failing to find replacements for the greats who retired from the game.
Commenting on the current form of the team Ambrose conceded that it will be near impossible to replicate the success of the bygone glory years during which West Indies were almost an invincible force.
"When you look at the team from the mid-70s to the mid-90s, that 20-year period, we’ve got to be honest, how can you really find that kind of players again?
“To really dominate world cricket for 15-20 years. That is unheard of, it’s almost impossible.â€
Always tell someone how you feel because opportunities are lost in the blink of an eye but regret can last a lifetime.
